Product description

Remix Flow brings the essence of Giulio Ridolfo’s celebrated upholstery textile Remix to the world of curtains. It is crafted from a high percentage of recycled polyester and features a systematic construction which uses hues from the original Remix palette to create its own colour language.

The curtain is constructed with a half-Panama binding and is yarn dyed. To achieve the celebrated vibrancy of the Remix upholstery in a curtain, each of the twelve colourways of Remix Flow is woven using four different yarn colours: two in the warp and two in the weft.

Colour master Giulio Ridolfo selected hues from the Remix palette as a starting point and zoomed into the depths of each one to capture unique ‘inter-tones’ of colour.

By combining four of these new tones in each colourway, Remix Flow is infused with a pictorial, landscape-like expression that changes to reflect the spaces where it hangs.

Giulio Ridolfo: “Remix Flow is a chameleon curtain – it catches the light of the objects in the room and the authenticity of architectural materials, and works as a glue, connecting all of the elements together to create an ambience.”

Remix Flow offers a high-density surface, providing privacy and draping to elegant effect. It’s recycled profile, luminous vibrancy and soft touch ensure it is particularly well-suited to offices, hospitality venues, and healthcare venues. Remix Flow joins the family of textiles designed by Giulio Ridolfo for Kvadrat, and consequently, the textiles complement each other exceptionally well.

Performance
  • LightFastness {{site.selectedConfiguration.lightFastness}}

    ISO 105-B02

Lightfastness relates to the ability of a textile to retain its colour under light. When testing for lightfastness, samples are exposed to artificial daylight for a specified period.

The evaluation scale ranges from 1 (worst) to 8 (best). An increase of one point corresponds to a doubling of the lightfastness, i.e. the same fading takes twice as long.

  • Absorption (100 mm) 0.60/Class C (Absorption flat) 0.85/Class B (Absorption folded)

    EN ISO 354

Acoustic absorption is indicated as αw-value which approximately corresponds to the percentage of sound absorbed. For instance, an αw-value of 0,4 translates into 40% absorption of sound.  Acoustic absorption of a textile is measured in its flat and draped state.

  • Airflow 722 Pa s/m

    EN ISO 9053-1

Airflow resistance influences the sound absorbing qualities of a textile. Typically, the denser the construction of the textile, the higher the value.

  • Fire tests NFPA 701 • EN 13 773 class 1 • DIN 4102 B1 • NF P 92 507 M1 • JIS L 1091 A-1 D • AS/NZS 1530.3 • UNI 9177 Classe 1 • BS 5867 part 2 type B • SN 198 898 5.2 • IMO FTP Code 2010 Part 7

Flame retardant performance depends on the type of foam used. There are differing requirements concerning the flame-retardancy of textiles dependent on the area of application, country or even region. Our textiles pass the majority of international standards and are also tested for a selection of regional requirements.

Care instructions curtain textiles

Regular cleaning is important in order to keep the curtain textile looking its best and to prolong its life. Dust and dirt wear down the textile and also reduce its fire-retardant properties.

  • Regular care

If possible, we recommend washing curtains once a year. If used heavily, a more frequent cleaning may be appropriate. All curtain fabrics by Kvadrat and Sahco are supplied with a care label. We recommend the use of detergent without optical bleach for all items in which, according to care instructions, washing is possible. Please take into account a possible shrinkage between 1–4 %. It is always possible to wash at a lower temperature that the one specified for light soiling. Please contact a professional dry cleaner if dry cleaning is the only option for maintenance. A professional dry cleaner may also assist in working out maintenance schedules which ensure that the fabrics are maintained properly so that a good indoor climate and maximum duration of the curtains are achieved.
