Product description

Noon 2 is a fresh iteration of the airy, translucent curtainNoon by Patricia Urquiola. It is woven with 100% recycledpolyester and offers a broader, more nuanced colour scale. The curtain is constructed with a plain weave, and ischaracterised by its durability, softness and beautifuldrape, now achieved with recycled yarns. This new composition is further emphasised by the delicateirregularities which play across the surface of the textile, adding depth and volume.

Noon 2 is piece-dyed, with an updated palette comprising 21 colours that reflect the essence of nature, creating asoft, organic feel. With a focus on neutrals, it features arange of warm whites, light beiges and shades of grey, punctuated by brighter blues, subtle earthy reds and browns, and green tones reminiscent of forest hues.

Patricia Urquiola: “Noon 2 enhances the original with a unique, irregular texture and an expanded colour palette that mirrors nature. When developing the new range of colours, we researched how the recycled fibres would interact with the colour pigments. The result is a dynamic, conscious textile that adapts effortlessly to different lighting and settings.” Due to its natural, modern palette, recycled profile, and durability, Noon 2 is highly versatile and works well in a wide variety of private and commercial spaces. It is particularly well suited to the hospitality segment.

Performance
  • LightFastness {{site.selectedConfiguration.lightFastness}}

    ISO 105-B02

    Lightfastness relates to the ability of a textile to retain its colour under light. When testing for lightfastness, samples are exposed to artificial daylight for a specified period.

    The evaluation scale ranges from 1 (worst) to 8 (best). An increase of one point corresponds to a doubling of the lightfastness, i.e. the same fading takes twice as long.

    Flame retardant performance depends on the type of foam used. There are differing requirements concerning the flame-retardancy of textiles dependent on the area of application, country or even region. Our textiles pass the majority of international standards and are also tested for a selection of regional requirements.

Care instructions curtain textiles

Regular cleaning is important in order to keep the curtain textile looking its best and to prolong its life. Dust and dirt wear down the textile and also reduce its fire-retardant properties.

  • Regular care

    If possible, we recommend washing curtains once a year. If used heavily, a more frequent cleaning may be appropriate. All curtain fabrics by Kvadrat and Sahco are supplied with a care label. We recommend the use of detergent without optical bleach for all items in which, according to care instructions, washing is possible. Please take into account a possible shrinkage between 1–4 %. It is always possible to wash at a lower temperature that the one specified for light soiling. Please contact a professional dry cleaner if dry cleaning is the only option for maintenance. A professional dry cleaner may also assist in working out maintenance schedules which ensure that the fabrics are maintained properly so that a good indoor climate and maximum duration of the curtains are achieved.
